Pim Cuijpers is Professor of Clinical Psychology at the VU University Amsterdam (The Netherlands), and Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology. Pim Cuijpers is also Vice Director of the EMGO Institute for Health and Care Research (www.emgo.nl).
Pim Cuijpers has published more than 400 peer-reviewed papers, chapters, reports and professional publications. He is specialised in conducting randomised controlled trials and meta-analyses on prevention and psychological treatments of common mental disorders, especially depression and anxiety disorders. Furthermore, he has published about drug prevention, psychoeducational treatment and early intervention for depression, prevention of new cases of mental disorder, bibliotherapy and internet interventions for depression.
According to Microsoft Academic Search, he is currently number 26 on the list of most influential researchers of the past five years in the field of psychiatry and psychology.
